Comprehensive Neurological & Vestibular Assessment
Every successful recovery begins with a clear understanding of how the injury has affected your nervous system. We perform detailed evaluations analyzing your balance (vestibular system), eye tracking (visual-ocular function), cognitive processing, and physical exertion tolerance. What is Concussion Management?
Your Treatment encompasses a multi-step program to produce the best prevention and recovery from a potential concussion event. The first line of defense is Multimodal Baseline Testing (link to Baseline testing page) so that there is a picture of your healthy brain. Baseline testing would be followed by Post-Incident Testing, and then by a Custom Management Plan consisting of return-to-school/play/work protocols.
How Long Will My Recovery Last?
This question is impossible to answer. With appropriate management and early detection most recoveries take 14 days. Everyone is unique and therefore concussions can take months to years to recover from, and are then classified as post-concussion syndrome.
